"Single Digit Temps"
The temperature was in the single digits one January evening when Rich's phone rang. Mr. Curry, who was not a direct customer of ours but had purchased a pre-owned home which we had built, called to say his furnace wasn't working. Rich went through a series of troubleshooting ideas with Mr. Curry over the phone to see if he could get it started. When none of his ideas fixed the problem, Rich called Pinon Development's heating contractor and left a voice-mail on his cell phone to see if he could go by Mr. Curry's house that night. Knowing there was a possibility that the heating contractor might not get the message until the following morning and that the temperature was expected to dip below zero that night, Rich called Mr. Curry and offered the use of his guest house for the night.
Pinon Development's heating contractor did get the message and came by later that evening and fixed the problem at no cost to Mr. Curry.
"Light Fixture Eye-Catcher"
Pinon Development's electrical contractor was installing light fixtures in the Janes family home in Trailside Estates. The Janes' had made most of their selections remotely, and were not able to walk through the house while choosing their light fixtures. On one of his regular walk-throughs, August noticed that the two ceiling light fixtures in the entry hall did not match. He referenced his notes to see if the light fixture selection list that the Janes' had signed was consistent with what was installed...After review, he found that there was in fact no 'slip-up', the lights had been installed exactly as specified.
So August contacted the Janes and asked if they would like to change this configuration. He suggested ordering another light fixture to match the one at the entry of the home. They agreed and thanked August for catching this 'sooner rather than later', especially since they weren't around to walk-through the house regularly.
